Hi Guys,
We are currently paying, what I deem, to be far too much for the inter webs.
We only need 20gbs of data and have no use for a phone line.
- Who's using whom and paying what?
- Any good deals out there that we should be looking at?
Cheers

Slingshot's really good value - they do Naked DSL (no phone line) for $82/month with 25gb, and it's half price ($41) for six months at the moment. In fact, all of their broadband is currently half price for 6 months.
I'm using Snap for naked ADSL.
What's slingshots speed and service like?
I've found their speed to be good, and service is OK. Their automated services work well, e.g. setting up the broadband, changing address, changing plans etc. They use their own equipment in a lot of places, and if you're on their network equipment you get free caller ID, voicemail and other phone features.
Generally speaking I would recommend them. Telecom is faster and more reliable, but probably the most expensive ISP in the country at the moment.
5-10 working days to get setup seems a bit long to me
If you're currently on Vodafone DSL then that's about right - they use their own cabinet/exchange equipment, so you've gotta wait for a tech to be available to physically move the connection. Same if it's a new DSL connection. In my experience, it always happens within a week. If you're currently on DSL, there will be no interruption in service - your existing connection will stay live right up until your new connection starts.
If you're currently on Vodafone ADSL, DO NOT cancel your existing connection, because it always takes longer to set up a new connection, and there's always a fee involved.
Currently with Telecom
Every ISP will tell you 5-10 days, that's just how it is unfortunately.
Yeah, actually the problem is that in your area Slingshot will be using their own equipment, meaning a physical connection change will always be required. The advantage is that being on Slingshot's equipment gives you access to all the free phone services.
Also, remember as I said you won't lose connectivity over that time.
