Andersons very own gallery
Chris, we know you love to lift people. Something about alcohol seems to short circuit that bit of your brain that says "people can defy gravity of their own volition, they don't need me" and your primal lifting instincts kick in. So here it is, your very own gallery. I named it (with every creative bone in my body), Anderson Lifting People.
Virtual Rugby Scores
Once again the Telecom Virtual Rugby scores have been updated for the week, and once again the Chiefs go without a win. That's zero for four, for those of you counting. Michelle surged ahead this week with the best score of 34 points, with a blinding 5 out of 6 correct picks (not counting margins). Ben also had an awesome week with 32 points to snatch 5th place, while I once again had a woeful weekend and fell to last. Chris D failed to reclaim his former greatness with a second lacklustre week in a row. Anderson and Mike continue to fight for 1st place, but I'll just be happy to overtake Brad who finds himself second to last. Check out the scores here.
So that's week four finished. The Chiefs lost again. I fell to last place with the worst score again. My brother and my sister are both whooping me despite a distinct lack of interest in rugby. Let's talk about something else....
I don't care what anyone says....

Anti-semitism rules
A customer walks into a bar, he over hears two men sitting in the bar having a conversation.
Their conversation is over some touchy situations.
The conversation is heated and tense, one finally says.
1st man : i want to kill all the jews
2nd man: thats disgusting
1st man: ok, i want to kill all the jews and one australian!
Finally the customer questions, slightly perturbed!
Customeer 1: Why do you want to kill one australian.
1st man : See!!! I told you. No one cares about the jews!!!!
errr uncomfortable silence ensues....

Christchurch is a strange place....
So I'm sitting at home enjoying the last few days of unmitigated boredom before classes start (life is good) and a couple of very attractive young ladies come knocking on my door and hand me a crate of 4 Tui jugs and 4 vouchers to fill them up for free at a local pub.

Skype and Virtual Rugby
I've just set up a Skype account for the first time, I don't know how much I'll use it but it seems cool. Anyone who is on Skype post your username. Mine is "iamaelephant" funnily enough. Also if you go into your user profile, under the Contact Information tab you'll see a field that you can fill in for your Skype username.
Virtual Rugby scores have been updated for the week. It was certainly an eventful week, with Anderson serging ahead from last place to take the top position. Mike retained 2nd place while Chris fell to 3rd with abysmal picks. Ben drops to last place and I remain 2nd to last despite having an awesome week, and Michelle stayed in 4th equal position sharing it now with Brad. Top honours for the week go to Anderson with 4 out of 7 correct picks. Remember that the odds of a random pick being right are only 1/4 due to the margin factor, so 4/7 is pretty impressive. I came in 2nd this week with 3/7 picks. Ben scored worst this week, I think the Gods were punishing him for betting against his home side. Our beloved Cheifs are yet to win a game, and the 'Canes had an extremely exciting match to beat the Blues by 1 point. Check out the table.
Interestingly, I noticed the Virtual Rugby Scores page was getting a large amount of traffic directly from Google, so I tried searching for "virtual rugby scores" and iamaelephant.net is the top result (comes out above telecomvirtualrugby.com even). Turns out this site is topping almost every major search engine when you search the term "virtual rugby score", winding up on the front page of Google, MSN Search, Altavista, Yahoo and other smaller search engines. Strange, I actually tried to block search engine web crawlers from indexing this website, I don't know how they got past it.
Finally, I have enabled User Pictures (avatars) for comment posts, so if you want an avatar just go to your user profile and upload one. Files must be 85x85 pixels or smaller. A couple of people already had pictures, but I accidentally deleted them. I have backups but I don't know whose is whose so I can't restore them.
Clinx
This is the toothpaste i have in my apartment, Clinx: The anti-calculus toothpaste, grrr for those days when the differentials and integrals just get too much for you

Hehe
Just some random bullshit - Out of interest I was looking through this website's "most viewed content" and look what's winning by quite a margin: http://www.iamaelephant.net/popular/alltime
Also, a riddle.
Three men go to a motel. They pay $10 each to stay in a room, totaling $30 for the room. When the bellhop returns to the front desk, the desk clerk realizes he has charged too much for the room. It was supposed to cost $25, not $30. So the clerk gives the bellhop 5 $1 coins to return to the men. He arrives at the room, and they work out a deal. The bellhop gives each man $1 and they leave the remaining $2 for the bellhop as a tip. So each man has now paid $9 for the room, totaling $27, plus the $2 tip equals $29. Where did the other dollar go? No Googling!
By the way, in the interest of fairness I have reset the User Points. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with them, but I'll think of something. In the mean time, collect those points, they could be valuable in the future. Remember, 3 points for an article or blog entry, 1 point for a reply.
